Beginner Tunisian crochet is the perfect entry point for curious crocheters ready to try something new without feeling out of their depth.
Led by Abbey of Abbeymade, this hands-on workshop introduces Tunisian crochet as a craft that sits beautifully between knitting and crochet, with a texture all its own.
You’ll work through small, achievable swatches while learning the foundation row, Tunisian simple stitch, bind off, and easy increases and decreases. The focus is on playful colour changes rather than complexity, building confidence, skill and joy from the very first stitches.
General admission for the day (Sunday, 21 June)
Handouts prepared by Abbeymade – also downloadable after the class
Please bring the following with you to the workshop session:
Workshop notes: Recommend avoiding cotton yarn for beginners, as its stiffness can be an impediment to learning Tunisian crochet (but cotton is great once you’ve got the hang of the stitches and tension).
This session will be delivered in-person only - no online offering will be made available.
