Level 2 - Crochet Teacher

Overview

This program is completed entirely by correspondence and focuses on developing specialised and advanced crochet techniques. It is designed as a self-paced learning experience, with optional Guild learning events at the CGA Convention in June to further enhance your skills.

The aim of this program is to broaden your knowledge beyond the fundamentals and build on the skills acquired in Level 1. You will demonstrate your progress by completing advanced crochet samples and written assignments.

Participants will be required to reflect on additional teaching they have done since completing Level 1.

Upon completion of Level 2, you will receive your Teacher Certificate and badge, and your name will be added to our Graduates page.

Course Description 

As with Level 1, participants have one year to complete the course.  This course is self-guided; there are no live sessions or check-ins.  The following details additional information about the coursework and assessment requirements.

Assessment Overview

Samples

• Eleven physical test samples (or sets of samples)

• Of these eleven samples, there are nine samples that must be completed as specified (1-9).

• There are two additional advanced samples that are to selected from five options detailed in the manual.

Written

• Three written components relating directly to three of the test Samples (from the manual).

• Four additional written assignments, including two lesson plans, pattern analysis, colourwork experience and reflection on teaching beyond Level 1 Crochet Instructor.
